More elongated in gesture and commanding in presence, this 240mm ladle by Graham Brant extends his exploration of cast organic form translated into functional metal. The bowl, formed from brass and measuring 22mm by 32mm, carries a warm interior glow with subtle hammering along its rim, its surface reflecting light in soft contrast to the darker structure above.

The handle is composed of two cast bronze sticks joined into a slender, tapering branch that feels gathered from the landscape rather than imposed upon it. At its lower end rests a cast silver juniper pod, cool and luminous against the bronze. Further along the shaft, a bronze seed pod sits within a sterling silver cup, while a pearl is cradled inside a cast silver acorn cap, introducing a refined focal point that shifts the composition toward something almost ceremonial.

Brass, bronze, silver, pearl. Each material remains distinct. Each placement is intentional. Nothing feels ornamental; every element serves the balance of the whole.

Fully functional and balanced in the hand, this ladle is best suited to more measured gestures at the table: a spoonful of sauce, a finishing drizzle, a small offering passed between guests. It occupies a refined space between utensil and sculpture, where proportion and material carry as much significance as capacity. A study in form and gathered detail, it transforms modest scale into presence.
