SG2 (Super Gold 2) is produced using a powder metallurgy process rather than the conventional melting method. This results in an exceptionally fine and uniform metal structure, similar to that of traditionally forged Japanese knives, and delivers outstanding hardness.

As a result, when sharpened, the blade achieves a razor-sharp edge reminiscent of carbon steel, while also offering excellent edge retention. This makes it an ideal stainless steel that combines sharpness and long-lasting performance.
