MINE Series

Mine () means “peak” or “summit” in Japanese. Our Mine series combines many traditional technologies from the Japanese cutlery industry. Sakai’s forgers make the blade from White Steel #2 carbon steel. Echizen’s (Takefu) sharpeners create the clamshell-shaped blade and black kurouchi finish. Finally, Niigata’s handle-smiths create easy-to-use handles from burnt cedar. Joining the peak of crafting from each area creates a knife that enhances your cooking.
